Le Val Fleuri • AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie
Loire-Atlantique

DOMAINE DELAUNAY

Description

Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie ‘Le Val Fleuri’. 100% Melon B. Nose of white fruit. Slightly crisp, lemony. Simplicity itself!

This Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie ‘Le Val Fleuri’ comes from a terroir of shallow soils on a base of altered Gneiss and Schist rock. Guyot nantais pruning and mechanical harvesting with sorting enable us to control yields (max. 55hL/ha). During the harvest, the grapes are pneumatically pressed, followed by 24 hours of cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation is temperature-controlled at between 16 and 18°C. The wine is matured in the Nantes style for 6 months on its lees in underground glass-lined concrete vats. Bâtonnages. Serve chilled between 9 and 11°C. Nose of apple and lanolin. Slightly crisp, slightly floral, a little lemony in the manner of a cold beurre blanc pressed with fresh chamomile. Simplicity itself. This Muscadet should be drunk young. Goes well with oysters, seafood platters and fish in sauce!
