Our region is an exceptional place to live. It offers a great diversity of landscapes and often spectacular nature. With the Atlantic coast and its beaches and wild shores, almost 40 rivers (including the royal Loire), woods and valleys, there is a landscape for everybody.
The region’s history, culture, and food and drink also play a major role, and are a source of pride and well-being for local people. Tourists flock to the region every year to see the unique architecture, the remarkable monuments (which led to UNESCO making the Loire Valley a world heritage region), and thriving food and drink scene, spurred by the diverse and excellent produce grown and reared in the area.
