Blanc Ivoire 2020
Maine-et-Loire
Description
Dry white wine 2020, 100 % chenin, appellation Anjou
This white wine, made from the Chenin grape variety, is called Blanc Ivoire. It is produced on the appellation Anjou blanc contrôlée. This is a 2020 vintage. The soil is composed of clays and schists. The vines are 25 years old. The harvest is carried out manually in 25 kg boxes. The juice is obtained by pneumatic pressing. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in 500-litre French oak barrels, 20% of which are new. The ageing continues on total lees for 10 to 12 months without any racking before bottling at the estate. Wine tasting : an intense nose with notes of white fruit and lemon zest. On the palate, the wine expresses itself on a beautiful salinity and a slight bitterness. The aging potential is 3 to 6 years. This wine can be paired with sushi, sea bream carpaccio, ceviche, fish served in sauce and some cheeses. The recommended operating temperature is between 10 and 12°C. 2022 is the official year of certification in Organic Agriculture.
