Description
Red wine to keep in the cellar 2019, 100 % cabernet franc, Anjou appellation
This red wine for laying down is made from the Cabernet Franc grape variety. It is produced under the Anjou controlled appellation. It is a 2019 vintage. The soil is composed of clays and shales. The vines are 40 years old. Harvesting is done manually in 25 kg boxes. The grapes are destemmed before being put in vats. After a pre-fermentation maceration, alcoholic fermentation begins. On the cap of marc and for 20 days, a manual pigeage is carried out. The aging of the wine takes place over a period of 12 months in a wood tank (50 hl) and terracotta amphorae (750 liter). Wine tasting : wine color is ruby and intense. The nose smells black fruits, a beautiful maturity of cabernet franc. The palate is revealed on dense fruits and expressive tannins. The aging potential is between 5 to 10 years. This wine is appreciated with red meats in sauce or grilled. Operating temperature between 16 to 18 °C. 2022 is the official year of certification in Organic Agriculture.
