Mr Machet owner of the Domaine after 3 generations invites you with pride in his caves.The Domaine caves have been created by the extraction of tuffeau and falun during the XVIII and XIXth century. The noblest , freestone, allowed to build castles, churches and Anjou houses. These underground galleries offer the advantage of a constant humidity and temperature. Today, Domaine des Hautes Troglodytes is mainly planted in Cabernet franc. Located on the banks of the Loire, the domain offers a wine just like its cellars, grand. Saumur Champigny Domaine des Hautes Troglodytes has an steady garnet dress which reveals a beautiful extraction. In the nose, the spicy aromas and of licorice are mixed with red berries. It is round, generous and balances itself at the end of mouth by a certain freshness. It can be enjoyed young but it is better to keep him at least a few years in order to let him reveal all his complexity. Ideal with red meats and roasted or saucy poultry and also red fruits desserts. Best served around 16-18°C.
