Rosé d’Anjou Domaine des Landes
Maine-et-Loire

JOSEPH VERDIER

Description

Rosé d'Anjou - Demi-Sec - Grolleau & Gamay

This beautiful family estate (3rd generation) is located on the village of Lys-Haut-Layon, on the Tigné plateau, heart of Anjou. There are 40 hectares of vines planted on clay-limestone soils. The principal grape varietals are Cabernet Franc and Grolleau which represent 75% of the total cultivated area. They are particularly highlighted in Cabernet d'Anjou and Rosé d'Anjou AOP wines. The rest of the surface is comprised of white varietals : Chenin, Sauvignon and Chardonnay. On this vineyard, a major focus is placed on natural grass-covering which limits the erosion and allow for a better water infiltration from the rain, thus favouring the soil's biodiversity. This Rosé d'Anjou displays a bright coral-colored rosé with raspberry, watermelon, pomegranate and lemon aromas. Medium-bodied with a fruity, semi-sweet but tangy palate. Will pair ideally with chicken kebabs, savoury pies and asian cuisine. Serve around 8-10°C
