COTEAUX DU LAYON “BELLE DOUCEUR” 2025
Maine-et-Loire

Chateau de Bellevue

Description

A perfect balance between sweetness and freshness, representing the over-ripeness of Chenin and our schist terroirs!

The grapes were allowed to ripen as much as possible (mainly noble rot in this 2025 vintage, harvested manually in two or three successive passes depending on the plot). Slow natural fermentation and aging in vats to preserve all the delicate aromatic complexity. Sensory discovery The color is a bright, luminous canary yellow. The nose is fresh, lively and invigorating, with dominant aromas of lemongrass followed by yellow fruits. Spicy notes reinforce the impression of freshness and confirm the overripeness caused by Botrytis cinerea. The palate is supple, elegant and fluid. A slight acidity brings freshness and vitality.
