Founded in 1811 by Jean-Baptiste Ackerman, a visionary and daring businessman with a passion for fine bubbles and orchids, the then eponymous company (Maison Ackerman) has positioned itself as the pioneer and leader of fine bubbles in the Loire. After a strong growth dynamic, the group enriched its portfolio and acquired new great domains, châteaux and prestigious brands in the Loire Valley. Recently renamed - Orchidées, Maison de Vin - in reference to the two passions of our founder and symbol of the elegance and diversity of our wines, we currently employ nearly 300 people spread over all our sites, from Nantes to Sancerre: 7 chateaux and domains covering more than 450 hectares, winemaking and bottling sites and 5 wine tourism sites. The head office is located in Saint-Hilaire-Saint-Florent, Saumur (49), above our troglodytic cellars, the highest and most visited in the region. Thanks to all the men and women of our Houses, we achieve a turnover of more than 80M€, in nearly 50 countries.
