TooNu • Melon B. sans intrants
Loire-Atlantique

DOMAINE DELAUNAY

Description

‘TooNu’ is a Melon B. without inputs. Tarte Tatin on the nose, fruity and round on the palate, with a subtle freshness. Surprising !

‘TooNu’ is a Melon B. vinified without inputs from a terroir of shallow soils on slightly altered Granite and the famous Gneiss of Loroux-Bottereau. Guyot nantais pruning and green harvesting (inter-row scrubbing, ploughing, partial grassing, etc.) enable us to keep yields under control (max. 45hL/ha). During the harvest, the grapes are pneumatically pressed, without settling. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Aged 8 months in underground glass-lined concrete vats. Serve chilled between 9 and 10°C. Decant 2 hours before tasting. A magnificent yellow colour, a tarte Tatin nose and a fruity, round and greedy palate of grilled almonds, with a slight perlage giving it a subtle freshness. This Muscadet can be kept for 3 to 5 years. Surprising as an aperitif or with a Curé Nantais!
