Véronique and Aurore, the "Queens of Muscadet", owns a family estate of 75 hectares, in the heart of Sèvre et Maine. The estate is located at the Confluence (i.e. at the corner) of the Sèvre and Maine rivers, which gives it its historical name "Château du Coin".
We work with three white grape varieties, mainly local ones: Melon B (95%), Folle Blanche (2%) and Chardonnay (3%). We are certificate Organic (30 hectares) since 2011 and the rest is in convertion. Our Estate is certifed HVE3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3).
Our particularity is to produce not a Muscadets, but many Muscadets, we work for keeping the expression of our different terroirs (gabbros, gneiss and micashists). And we brings richness with long maturation on lees.
We are very well known for our vintage Muscadets, resulting from a wise mix of parcel selection and maturation on lees. Our domain is also engaged in the "Crus communaux" (Village appellation) approached since nearly 25 years. We are proud procer of 4 Crus: Monnières Saint Fiacre, Gorges and our new entries Château-Thebaud and La Haye-Fouassiére
