Ethics and environmental commitment
PROMOTING BOTTLE RECYCLING
We set up the recovery of empty bottles with professional partners who are willing and sensitive to this action.
Some consumers involved in this movement bring their bottles directly to us.
Others value them by keeping them for other uses (vases, candlesticks, etc.)!
USING WATER SOLUBLE RECYCLED PAPER LABELS
The R-paper used is 100% recycled, the water-soluble adhesive making it easy to recycle the bottles. The inks used are vegetable-based inks within the framework of the Imprim’Vert label.
The glassines are totally recycled and used after recovery from the printer, allowing zero waste labelling.
USE OF ORGANIC WOODEN HEAD CORKS FROM SUSTAINABLY MANAGED FRENCH FORESTS
The choice of stoppers - whose cork comes from organic farming in FSC-certified cork oak forests - seemed to us to be a logical continuation of our commitment.
Thus, disinfection does not use chemicals and the wood used comes from sustainably managed French forests.
This range of closures protects the health of workers in the sector and ours, our environment and biodiversity (by promoting organic farming).
The manufacturer then collects the corks which are valued in the context of cancer research.
WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY
Since the creation of the company, our commitment concerning the waste generated by our activity has been constant, which is why we are part of the Eco-challenges approach.
Thus, the reuse of cardboard is the rule, then when it has become unusable, it is valued in the recovery sectors, just like the many plastic films.
As for the raw materials that it is impossible for us to recover to date, they are put in composters.
RECOVERY OF MACERATED RAW MATERIALS (JAMS, ETC...)
Our initial commitment led us to enhance the raw materials used for the manufacture of arranged rums.
Thus, to date, pineapple and mango are recovered by jam artisans with whom we have created two Ti'confiture recipes!
Vanilla pods are also valued either with jam makers, bulk grocery stores or even a craftswoman making mini Nantes cakes!
